Sometimes Father’s Day, arrival Sunday June 21stst this year, it is being unfairly overlooked. Indeed, Father’s Day did not become official in North America until 1972, 58 years after the birth of Mother’s Day. And with many restaurants and other businesses still closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, finding things to do on Dad’s special day can prove difficult for some. We celebrate dear old dad this year with a variety of different activities to undertake or mouth watering meals – I live style, of course.
We all know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. And which dad does not appreciate the excellent food that helps celebrate his day?
The day for dads has always been a great opportunity to light the barbecue. It’s warmer, and we all want that unmistakable smell of grill smoke. Check out our collection of healthy BBQs for Irene McGuinness’s Father’s Day, from Jackfruit Quesadillas to Cedar Planked Salmon.
It hosts a lunch on the tailgate at a physical distance

If time doesn’t cooperate or you feel like a day, here are some internal ideas to make Father’s Day festive.
No idea? No problem. Host Father’s Day inside with several planned gaming activities and according to your father’s preferences. You can follow the simple path with card or board games or mix it with an afternoon beer tasting (guess the variety), reunite the family for team charades or a little mini-golf practicing in the living room (look at the furniture !).
Presentation and homemade gifts
Another way to celebrate at home is with the people Daddy loves most: his family! Put together a simple slideshow of your favorite family photos on your smartphone or TV and take a walk in memory. Complete the celebration with a home-made ticket, a meal and some nice belly laughs, and Daddy will be happy until Father’s Day 2021.
Happy Father’s Day from the team I live!
