Sometimes Father’s Day, arrival Sunday June 21stst this year, it is being unfairly overlooked. Indeed, Father’s Day did not become official in North America until 1972, 58 years after the birth of Mother’s Day. And with many restaurants and other businesses still closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, finding things to do on Dad’s special day can prove difficult for some. We celebrate dear old dad this year with a variety of different activities to undertake or mouth watering meals – I live style, of course.

Food

We all know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. And which dad does not appreciate the excellent food that helps celebrate his day?

Prepare the barbecue for the perfect father’s day

The day for dads has always been a great opportunity to light the barbecue. It’s warmer, and we all want that unmistakable smell of grill smoke. Check out our collection of healthy BBQs for Irene McGuinness’s Father’s Day, from Jackfruit Quesadillas to Cedar Planked Salmon.

It hosts a lunch on the tailgate at a physical distance

Are you trying to change it a little? Try a tailgate-style meeting with some friends or family in your local park or beach. Tailgate parties allow for safe physical getaway while enjoying the company of friends. Just bring your favorite beach chair and some health I livesnacks and sandwiches in style, and you’re good to go! He will appreciate the food is quality time.

Beverage

Interesting drinks are always a hit for dads. Try something new this year that will inspire yours to change it a bit!

Prepare your kombucha

Here’s something new to try with your dad. Kombucha is a delicious, energizing and fermented drink that comes in a large variety of flavors. It is made with a starting culture called SCOBY (short for Symbiotic Colony Of Bacteria and Yeast), which gives the drink a plethora of health benefits such as liver detoxification, digestion and energy improvement and is rich in vitamin B, antioxidants and polyphenols .

Outdoors

Which dad doesn’t like going out with his friends and family? Spend this day to share a special moment with yours in the great outdoors. The options are endless!

Become active

Whether it’s hiking, swimming, or diving into the sky, take your dad out of the house for some adventure and exercise. With the summer weather making its entrance, the time has come to take advantage of this special day and explore the great outdoors (keeping a safe distance from the others!). Research shows that time spent in nature it can offer you different psychological, physiological and aptitude benefits, so it’s a no-brainer for how to spend Sunday together!

Take it easy outdoors

If the dad in your life is more of a pleasant outdoor adventure, opt for a walk on the beach, a little fishing, canoeing or even a little bird watching. A nice day? How about a dad-style nap in the park? Bring some snacks, of course!

in home

If time doesn’t cooperate or you feel like a day, here are some internal ideas to make Father’s Day festive.

Game evening

No idea? No problem. Host Father’s Day inside with several planned gaming activities and according to your father’s preferences. You can follow the simple path with card or board games or mix it with an afternoon beer tasting (guess the variety), reunite the family for team charades or a little mini-golf practicing in the living room (look at the furniture !).

Presentation and homemade gifts

Another way to celebrate at home is with the people Daddy loves most: his family! Put together a simple slideshow of your favorite family photos on your smartphone or TV and take a walk in memory. Complete the celebration with a home-made ticket, a meal and some nice belly laughs, and Daddy will be happy until Father’s Day 2021.

Happy Father’s Day from the team I live!
