AH-64 Apache Helicopter:
AH-64 Apache Helicopter is a twin-engined army attack helicopter developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). It served with the US Army in 1984 and has been exported to Egypt, Greece, Israel, the Netherlands, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom.

The US Army has more than 800 Apache in service, has more than 1,000 aircraft exports. Apache for the first time in 1989 in Panama, the US military operations for the fighting. It is used in the Operation Desert Storm and supports low-density and peacekeeping operations around the world, including Turkey, Bosnia, and Kosovo.
The first Apache Longbow was delivered to the US Army in April 1997.
The AH-64D Longbow was deployed by the US Army in Afghanistan as part of the Operation Anaconda, which supports the Iraqi Freedom Initiative, and from June 2003, in Korea.
The AH-64D Longbow is equipped with Longbow MMW Fire Control Radar and Longbow Hellfire missiles. 501 AH-64A Apache upgraded to AH-64D standard has been delivered to the US Army. Delivery was completed in August 2006.
Initially ordered another 13 new Apache and in November 2006 another 11. The US Army ordered 96 reconfiguring helicopters in January 2007 and 18 new helicopters in April 2007.
Boeing will produce 51 AH-64D Apache Block III helicopters for the US Army.
In the same year, the United Arab Emirates ordered 30 AH-64Ds. The first new AH-64D was delivered to the US Army in June 2007 and the first remanufactured helicopter was delivered in October 2007.
The US Army awarded Boeing a $ 247 million contract in October 2010 to start low-rate initial production (LRIP) of the AH-64D Apache Block III helicopter. Boeing will produce 51 AH-64D Apache Block III helicopters for the US Army under LRIP contracts. The first AH-64D Apache Block III helicopter was delivered to the US Army in October 2011.
International Apache Orders & Delivery
Longbow was ordered by the Netherlands (30 deliveries completed), Singapore (20 deliveries completed, the first delivery in May 2002), Israel (designated “Seraph” nine new, nine remanufactured, remanufactured, delivered Completed in January 2007).
The Royal Netherlands Air Force won the first AH-64D Apache and the first AH-64D Apache Block III in May 1998 and May 2012, respectively.
Some AH-64A helicopters have been upgraded to South Korea’s AH-64D standard. 30 UAE United Arab Emirates is upgrading to AH-64D longbow standard, delivery began in May 2008. In June 2006, Saudi Arabia asked to upgrade the 12 Apache standards, in September 2008, sales of 12 new AH-64D. In August 2001, the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force selected AH-64D, need 55 helicopters. Japan’s Apache is named AH-64DJP, equipped with Stinger air-to-air missiles.
In September 2002, Kuwait ordered 16 AH-64D helicopters. The first was delivered in February 2007. Kuwait Apache is equipped with BAE system HIDAS defense system. September 2003, Greece signed 12 contracts (plus four options) AH-64D Longbow, will also be equipped with HIDES. The first was delivered in January 2007.
In June 2011, Taiwan ordered orders for 30 AH-64D Apache block III helicopters for $ 2.5 billion. Helicopters are scheduled to be delivered between 2013 and 2014.
AH-64A / D Apache Upgrade
The second upgrade of the second group Apaches was delivered to the US Army in February 2003. The second group includes upgrades to 96 A-type A-type digital communication systems to improve communications within the Tactical Internet. In October 2007, Boeing provided the US Army with the first expansion block II.
In July 2005, the US Army awarded Boeing an improved development contract for Block III, which went into operation in 2011. December 2009, completed AH-64D Apache and block III structure of the initial flight test.

The Block III System Development and Demonstration (SDD) contract was awarded to Boeing in July 2006. Apache Block III’s first flight was in July 2008. The US Army plans to upgrade all its Apache fleets to the Block III standard.

Disassembly, inspection, and repair work will be carried out at the SES Western Air and Integration Facility in Huntsville. The helicopters will be shipped to Boeing in Arizona, Mesa, where the AH-64D Apache III is merged.
WAH-64 Longbow Apache

October 2004 to achieve the initial operational capability, in May 2005, 18 helicopters of the three Army Aviation Corps in the first unit declared full-scale operations. The other two teams are expected to be fully operational in 2010. In March 2007, the British Ministry of Defense announced that by September 2007, all the British Army Apache helicopters will be located in Suffolk’s Wadisim Air Force Base.
A 30mm automatic Boeing M230 chain gun is located below the fuselage. It provides 625 fires per minute. Helicopters can accommodate up to 1200 rounds of ammunition.
The AH-64D is equipped with the Lockheed Martin / Boeing AGM-114D Longbow Hellfire-to-Surface Missile, which has a millimeter-wave detector that allows the missile to be executed in full fire and forget mode. The range is 8 km to 12 km.

Apache can be equipped with air-to-air missiles (Stinger, AIM-9 Sidewinder, Mistral, and Sidearm) and the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS), previously known as Hydra, family oriented and unguided 70mm rockets. Plans to use the Advanced Precision Weapon System (APKWS) II to build Apache, Hydra laser guidance version of the fiscal year 2008 budget was shelved. AH-64D Longbow Apache is equipped with Northrop Grumman Millimeter Wave Bow Radar. The Longbow Fire Control Radar incorporates an integrated radar frequency interferometer for passive positioning and identification of radar launch threats. The advantage of millimeter-wave is that it performs under low visibility conditions and is less susceptible to ground clutter. Longbow Apache can attack in 30 seconds. The radar dome is shielded by a separate radar scan and then re-shielded. The processor determines the position, velocity, and direction of travel of up to 256 targets.
TADS (AN / ASQ-170) and Pilot Night Vision Sensor PNVS (AN / AAQ-11) were developed by Lockheed Martin. The turret-mounted TADS provides direct observation of optical, television and three-field forward-looking infrared (FLIR) to perform a search, detection and identification, as well as Litton laser rangefinders/indicators. The PNVS consists of FLIRs in a rotating turret located above the nose on the TADS. Lockheed Martin has developed a new aiming and night vision system for Apache that uses a second-generation long-wave infrared sensor with better range and resolution. The new system is called Arrowhead, FLIR with three fields of view, FLIR, CCD TV camera, electronic zoom, target tracker and automatic boresight.

Arrowhead began production in December 2003 and the first unit was delivered to the US Army in May 2005. The first Arrowhead system was integrated into the Apache helicopter in June 2005. By 2011, a total of 704 US Army Apache equipped Arrowhead. The 500th delivery was completed in 2008 and the remaining deliveries were completed as planned. The US Army also provided Apache with a follow-on contract for additional Arrowhead accessories, adding to the total number of Army Arrowhead integrations.
UK AH Mk1 Helicopter Arrowhead contract was released in May 2005. The first two deliveries were delivered in November 2008 and the delivery was completed in 2010.
Apache is equipped with an electronic warfare suite that includes the AN / APR-39A (V) radar alarm receiver from Northrop Grumman (formerly Litton) and Lockheed Martin; the Lockheed Martin AN / APR-48A radar frequency interferometer electronics support target AN / AVR-2 laser warning receiver (Goodrich) (formerly Hughes Danbury Optical Systems, Inc., Raytheon); AN / ALQ-144 infrared countermeasures were set by BAE Systems IEWS (formerly Sanders, Lockheed Martin) ; AN / ALQ-136 (V) radar jammers developed by ITT; and chaff dispensers. ah-64 apache helicopter ah-64 apache helicopter

United Kingdom AH mk1 Apaches are equipped with the BAE System Helicopter Integrated Defense Kit (HIDAS), also selected by Kuwait and Greece. HIDAS, including the Sky Guardian 2000 radar warning receiver, served in AH mk1 in July 2003.
Israeli AH-64D helicopters equipped with Elisa Seraph self-protection system, including SPS-65 missile aircraft and SPJ-40 radar jammers.

Apache is equipped with two turboshaft engines, each offering 1,265kW. United States AH-64D with General Electric T700-GE-701 engine, the United Kingdom with the Rolls-Royce / Turbomeca Apache from the RTM322 engine.
AH-64 Apache can climb at 889 m / min. The maximum helicopter and cruise speeds were 279km / h and 260km / h. The helicopter ferry range and service ceilings were 1,900 kilometers and 6,400 meters, respectively. Stamina for 3 hours and 9 minutes. The helicopter weighs about 5,165 kg and has a maximum takeoff weight of 10,433 kg.
