The 38 Best Beauty Salons, Spas, And Shop In New York, United States.

Best Beauty salon:

Thanks to all those who have read our work of beauty salon over the years. The archives will remain available here. Find our staff covers consumer culture. You can also see what we’re doing here.

The beauty scene in New York City is unlike any other in the whole United States. The sheer density of beauty salon, exploding bars, and Sephoras are enough to overwhelm even the most experienced YouTube tutor. It is a highly competitive market and, just for fun, we decided to compile a list of the absolute best.

After the jump, you will find our updated 38 Beauty shop, a highly subjective overview of the best beauty shop, best spas, best salons and more in New York. Those who have made the cut are all at the top of their game in the world of beauty. We have done our best to include all the elements of the terrain, so you will find the best places to get a bikini wax mixed with independent fragrance boutiques.

To keep the list manageable, we have devised some exclusions. Since there are simply too many hair salons to deal with, we have left out those that focus on cuts and colors but have kept the burst bars.

Single-brand retailers were included only if they focused on New York (such as Bond No. 9 and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) or had a huge following (Nars and M.A.C., et al). But fear not: almost all the independent beauty salon brands you would like to buy can be found in other stores on the list, like the beauty floors of Barneys, Saks and Bergdorf, or in places like Space NK and Shen.

Without further ado, let’s go to this. And oh, if you don’t agree, let us know in the comments.

  1. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
