If you are a 90s boy like me, then The parent Trap he was a favorite of childhood. I can barely remember a time when the 1998 comedy was not included in our VHS, at the unceasing request of me and my sister. If you have never seen the cult classic (which I would find shocking), it features a young Lindsay Lohan playing two identical twins, Hallie and Annie; they are separated after their parents divorce, then they unexpectedly gather in a summer camp and decide to change places.

Directed by Nancy Meyers (and a remake of the 1961 original, played by the iconic child actress Hayley Mills), The parent Trap it is a wellness film that still lasts today. And I have good news for fans of the film: the cast is gathering in honor of its 22nd anniversary.

Second People, the original stars of the film – including director Meyers and actors Lohan, Dennis Quaid, Elaine Hendrix, Lisa Ann Walter and Simon Kunz—will meet via Zoom for a special chat, moderated by Katie Couric. (The cast will likely honor the memory of Natasha Richardson, who starred in the film but died in 2009 from a skiing accident.)

If you are trying to tune in, it will be streamed on Couric’s Instagram page at 9:00 EDT on Monday 20 July, which marks the film’s 22nd anniversary. The meeting is also to raise funds for a special cause: it will attract awareness for the Central world cuisine, a non-profit organization of celebrity chef José Andrés who currently focuses on COVID-19 food relief.

The meeting will touch the iconic film over 20 years later, and we have so many questions for the cast. For one, how did Lohan learn such a good British accent? Why did they use an apple to pierce her ear in that unforgettable scene? And why Meredith (played by Hendrix) was portrayed as a villain in the film, when she is actually 26 years old with powerful work and wardrobe? “There’s an entire generation that thinks Meredith is #Goals,” says Hendrix in a preview clip.

I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out.
