Gigi Hadid launches ‘Gigi’s Journal Part II’
Gigi Hadid is releasing a second part of his “Gigi’s Journal” series. The supermodel is a guest editor and creative director of the series, which is part of V Magazine. In this edition, it invited participants to take part and more than 20,000 responded. He then reopened the proposals to represent more color artists. Gigi worked on the first edition in 2017.
“I felt firmly that for me, and the responsibility of mine and V magazine, it was important to make sure we are amplifying black-American voices using this platform and this privilege,” he said. Spreads include pieces by Patrisse Cullors, who founded the BLM movement, activist and chef, Sophia Roe, and many others. You can pre-order the Journal online: it will debut on July 15th.

The Gigi Journal part II is here! Presenting a mix of innovative art and new perspectives, from artists derived from over 20,000 presentations, the diary acts as a reflection of the events that we are all experiencing through its theme: Quaranti (m) and: Your Experience in Quarantine / Honor Honor Essential Workers. Initially designed to document creativity in quarantine, the diary expanded once the relaunch of the #BlackLivesMatter movement was reignited. As @gigihadid explains as part of his editor’s letter, “There is only about a week to go until this journal expires, at the height of [BLM] protests in the United States and around the world, I felt strongly that it was [our] responsibility to amplify black-American voices using this platform and this privilege. “Available now for pre-order, the diary features Gigi’s hand-painted cover and 32 exclusive pieces by artists from around the world, with written contributions from the leaders of the racial justice movement. Influencers create American Influencer Council
Some of the most important American influencers are coming together to create the American Influencer Council. This group aims to “further legitimize and support the influencer marketing industry in America”. Some of the featured members include Brittany Xavier, Patrick Janelle, Serena Goh and Aliza Licht.
The first initiative launched by the AIC includes the improvement, promotion and adherence to the guidelines for approval. “Over the past decade, social media has transformed the way the world communicates and consumes information in every sector,” said Aliza Licht. “Influencers are leading this revolution and our goal is to give our members the resources they need to stay on the pulse of the ever-changing problems, trends and legislation that affect the influencer marketing industry in the states US ”
Gucci presents the ecological collection
Gucci has launched an ecological collection, Gucci Off The Grid. The line features recycled materials, organic and from sustainable sources. The designer also uses ECONYL, regenerated nylon created from abandoned fishing nets, rugs and leftovers from the Gucci production process. The pieces in the collection are gender-free and present footwear, prêt-à-porter and suitcases. The core backpack is available in two sizes with FSC certified packaging. Famous campaign faces include Jane Fonda, Jared Leto and Lil Nas X.
