Yes, you can disable automatic updates in Windows 10, but it is not recommended as it can leave your system vulnerable to security threats. Here are the steps to disable automatic updates:
  1. Go to Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the gear icon to open the Settings app.

  5. Change the Settings: Under "Advanced Options", you will see a toggle switch for "Automatic Updates". Turn off this switch to disable automatic updates.
Note that disabling automatic updates is not recommended as it can leave your system vulnerable to security threats. Instead, you can try changing the Active Hours or manually installing updates at a time that's convenient for you, as mentioned in the previous answer.

Yes, you can disable automatic updates, but it is not recommended to do so as updates often contain important security fixes and performance improvements. However, if you still wish to disable automatic updates, follow these steps:
  1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and hit Enter.
  3. In the Services window, scroll down until you find "Windows Update" in the list.
  4. Double-click on "Windows Update" to open its Properties window.
  5. In the Properties window, click on the "Startup type" dropdown menu and select "Disabled".
  6. Click on the "Apply" button and then click on the "OK" button to save your changes.
After disabling automatic updates, you will need to manually check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and clicking on the "Check for updates" button.
Keep in mind that disabling automatic updates can leave your computer vulnerable to security threats, so it's important to stay vigilant and manually check for updates regularly.
