Tuberculosis remains the most deadly infectious killer in the world. Every day, over 4000 people die from tuberculosis and nearly 30,000 people fall ill with this preventable and curable disease. Global efforts to combat tuberculosis have saved about 58 million lives since the year 2000. To accelerate the response to tuberculosis in countries to achieve goals – Heads of state met and made strong commitments to end tuberculosis in the United Nations first high-level meeting in September 2018.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a joint initiative “Find. Treat. Everyone. #EndTB” with the Global Fund and Stop TB Partnership, with the aim of accelerating the response to tuberculosis and guaranteeing access to treatment, in line with the general WHO push towards universal health coverage.
On this World Tuberculosis Day, WHO calls on governments, affected communities, civil society organizations, health professionals and national / international partners to join forces under the “Find.” Banner. To deal. All. #EndTB “to ensure that no one is left behind.
